Yes! You can absolutely have a chocolatey treat and get in that protein and healthy fat. One of my favorites in the morning, or pre-workout.
Hot Chocolate with Protein (coconut cream base)
5-10min prep
Ingredients (1 serving)
Gather the following:
1T unsweetened cocoa powder (I prefer Guittard brand)
dash of cinnamon
pinch of salt
2 scoops collagen powder
1T light honey
1T coconut cream (no guar gum)
Directions
Boil 8oz of water and pour into a pint size mason jar or your favorite mug.
Add the cocoa powder, cinnamon, salt and collagen powder. Stir until smooth.
Add the honey and the coconut cream to the drink mixture and stir until well blended. I like to finish it with a drink frother for a really nice finish.
Sip, relax, refuel your body and soul. Enjoy!
